by Darcy Luadzers Hatherleigh Press, 2006 Review by Christian Perring on Feb 10th 2009
Virgin Sex for Guys is guide about sex and relationships for teen males. It has plenty of descriptions of boys' experiences that make it easier to relate to the general advice Luadzers provides. At 300 pages, it is relatively comprehensive in its advice, and has chapters on virginity, treating girls right, gay sex, being ready for sex, getting ready for sex, sexual language, safe sex and STDs, virgin sex, and sexual abuse. It combines practical information, statistics, and lots of discussion of the emotional issues around sex. It's basic message is very sensible: boys should be sure they are ready for sex before having it, it should be safe, they should be aware of the potential dangers and consequences of having sex, and when they have it, it should be a good experience for them and their partners. The writing is clear and there is an index. The book cover refers to a "Free Video" at a website, but that website is no longer functional.
